JAVAZILLA
Javazilla is a guide dedicated to JAVA. What is
java? Java programming language is a very advanced
programming language that was created by Sun
Microsystems. While it was originally created for smaller
devices and called OAK, this was a failure and therefore
Sun changed it to Java and changed the language to better
accommodate the Internet.
This java language is an
object-oriented language. It is an all-purpose programming
language that is created to work on the Internet. Java
applications can be downloaded and run on your computer. The
source code for java language is put together into a form of
file called byte code, which can be carried out by a java
language interpreter.
This java language is lightly based on
the C++ language. Java was also created to contain methods of
World Wide Web data manipulation. The java applications can be
created (written) once and then run on any computer which has a
java virtual machine as part of the operating system. As of May
2007, in agreement with the stipulations of the java community
process, Sun made most of the Java programs and technology
available as free software under the General Public
License.
The name ‘java’ comes simply from a
brainstorming session by developers, possibly at a coffee
shop.
